What we look for in a Volunteer:
Our volunteers are energetic, trustworthy, community-minded people, willing to contribute their time and efforts to enhance the communities in which we live, and to promote the cause of the ALS Society.

Ongoing Positions
Office Support
Assist with reception duties including: managing and directing calls through a 3-line switchboard, providing information on the ALS Society, handling phone-in donations, greeting the public, filing, photocopying, and faxing. Clerical volunteers may also help with mail outs and data entry, and other general office duties as appropriate. Shifts are 4-6 hours once per week.
Support Group Facilitators
Volunteers who are interested in leading a group of individuals living with ALS, their family members and/or caregivers. Support groups meet monthly, often with a guest speaker, to share information and ideas. It is recommended that a Support Group Facilitator has direct experience with ALS and with facilitating a group. Training will be provided, and is mandatory before leading a group.
